You just admitted their crimes \u2014 the vast majority of their crimes are here illegally. First of all, to categorize what they are doing as a crime insults real criminals.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"1151\">As if that wasn\u2019t bad enough, Rivera then went off on a bizarre tangent about Puerto Ricans being \u201cdeported,\u201d despite Puerto Ricans being U.S. citizens who carry American passports.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1564\" data-end=\"2037\"><strong data-start=\"1564\" data-end=\"1597\">Geraldo Rivera:<\/strong><br data-start=\"1597\" data-end=\"1600\" \/>I am absolutely dismayed by the attempts to sow terror in the homes of Latino people. For instance, Puerto Rican people. Puerto Rican people look just like Dominican people, just like Cuban people, just like \u2014 more or less \u2014 Venezuelan people. And yet, Puerto Rican people are citizens. Puerto Rican people are being harassed by ICE. They\u2019re citizens, but they are also Latinos. There is a racial component. There\u2019s a racial component.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2039\" data-end=\"2157\"><strong data-start=\"2039\" data-end=\"2071\">Benny Johnson:<\/strong><br data-start=\"2071\" data-end=\"2074\" \/>Puerto Rican people have American passports, Geraldo. Now, Puerto Rican people have to carry their American passports to show you that they belong here. Do you carry your American passport, Benny? But is your contention that America is deporting Puerto Ricans back to America? Geraldo completely lost it.<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0He mocked the comparison to U.S. Special Forces fighting ISIS.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"3123\" data-end=\"3513\"><strong data-start=\"3123\" data-end=\"3149\">Geraldo:<\/strong><br data-start=\"3149\" data-end=\"3152\" \/>He\u2019s exactly flipping the reality. They\u2019re arresting farmers and babysitters and lawn mowers and dishwashers and poultry processors and meat packers. They are all Latinos. They are racially profiling Latinos, where Spanish-speaking people of brown skin are afraid to walk around for fear of a masked ICE agent stopping them and demanding their papers, please.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3515\" data-end=\"3908\">It is outrageous. Once they make it inside the United States \u2014 and they\u2019ve been here for decades, God-fearing, law-abiding family people \u2014 for God\u2019s sakes, give them some compassion. Give them some American spirit. I am appalled by the aggression they are showing and the indiscriminate nature. And that\u2019s why these court cases are all going against Tom. First off, Geraldo, I appreciate you not maligning the man\u2019s character and simply saying that he\u2019s a patriot who wants to follow the law and wants to make his nation safe. I think we can all agree on that. That is clearly the single most important thing.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4335\" data-end=\"4812\">If you are a patriot in this nation, that your family can walk down the street safely, that you can send your daughter to nursing school, that she won\u2019t be bludgeoned by a rock by a Venezuelan gang member who\u2019s trying to kill her \u2014 and succeeds in murdering your daughter named Laken Reilly with a rock after he tries to assault her \u2014 after that same Venezuelan Tren de Aragua member was locked up and released again and again by district attorneys from Manhattan to Atlanta.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4814\" data-end=\"5164\">Now, what you would call that is terrorism. That is an organized gang member who is operating via a narco-state, Venezuela, in order to terrorize our nation and succeed in murdering a young American nursing student, Laken Reilly. He\u2019s part of a greater overall terrorist network that President Trump just yeeted one of their boats in the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5166\" data-end=\"5666\"><strong data-start=\"5166\" data-end=\"5198\">Benny Johnson:<\/strong><br data-start=\"5198\" data-end=\"5201\" \/>We all saw that clip. My question is: Why is it wrong for ICE agents who are deporting and arresting terrorists in our nation \u2014 organized terrorist gangs \u2014 to wear masks, yet special forces, when they\u2019re fighting ISIS or Al Qaeda, wear masks? Why is it impermissible for ICE to wear masks? They wear them for the same reasons. They\u2019re fighting dangerous, well-funded narco-state terrorists who would murder them and target their family and children if they could.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5668\" data-end=\"5723\"><strong data-start=\"5668\" data-end=\"5694\">Geraldo:<\/strong><br data-start=\"5694\" data-end=\"5697\" \/>Bullsh*t. Benny, give me a f***ing break.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"6130\" data-end=\"6478\">I have no patience for it. I believe that Tom Homan believes everything that he says. I don\u2019t doubt his sincerity. But when I come to the media that pretends to objectivity, I have a much harder view on this \u2014 my 55th anniversary week. I started in broadcasting 55 years ago this week.
