FCC Chairman Brendon Carr on Wednesday threatened to take immediate action against ABC and Disney after late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel lied to his audience and said Charlie Kirk was killed by a MAGA conservative.<\/p>\n

This is, of course, a lie. Charlie Kirk was gunned down by a far-left, pro-transgender radical who hated him for his conservative political views.<\/p>\n

The assassin, Tyler Robinson, lived with his transgender lover and said that if he had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, he would.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had enough of his hatred. Some hate can\u2019t be negotiated out,\u201d Robinson told his transgender lover about Kirk.<\/p>\n

Jimmy Kimmel lied to millions of people and claimed Kirk was assassinated by a MAGA conservative. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them \u2014 and doing everything they can to score political points from it,\u201d Kimmel told his audience.<\/p>\n

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr appeared on The Benny Show and told host Benny Johnson that he may take action against ABC and Kimmel. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a very, very serious issue right now for Disney. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. These companies can find ways to take action on Kimmel or there is going to be additional work for the FCC ahead,\u201d Brendan Carr said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have a license granted by us at the FCC, and that comes with it an obligation to operate in the public interest,\u201d Carr said. \u201cThere are calls for Kimmel to be fired. I think you could certainly see a path forward for suspension over this.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe FCC could make a strong argument that this is sort of an intentional effort to mislead the American people about a very core fundamental fact, a very important matter,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDisney needs to see some change here, but the individual licensed stations that are taking their content, it\u2019s time for them to step up and say this, you know, garbage to the extent that that\u2019s what comes down the pipe in the future isn\u2019t something that we think serves the needs of our local communities. But, but this sort of status quo is obviously not, not acceptable where we are,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n
