President Trump on Saturday doubled down on past threats to Colombian President Gustavo Petro, saying that he should \u201cwatch his ass\u201d after Trump ordered strikes inside Venezuela and captured President Nicolas Maduro, signaling possible actions against Colombia next.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The US military executed strikes<\/a> and a ground invasion to capture Maduro and his wife on Saturday at approximately 2 am local time, and they were taken prisoner on board the USS Iwo Jima. Maduro was indicted in the Southern District of New York on charges of Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy, Possession of Machineguns and Destructive Devices, and Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns and Destructive Devices against the United States, the Gateway Pundit reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As The Gateway Pundit reported<\/a> last month, Trump told reporters that Petro needs to \u201cwatch his ass\u201d and close the cocaine factories, which \u201cwe know where they are,\u201d he said, while making an announcement on shipbuilding at Mar-a-Lago.<\/p>\n

I love the Colombian people. They\u2019re great people, energetic, smart, great, but their new leader is a troublemaker, and he better watch it. They better close up those cocaine factories. Previously, Trump had floated<\/a> the idea of striking Colombian cocaine factories and launching strikes into Mexico to stop the cartels, saying<\/a>, \u201cI would be proud to do it, personally.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump doubled down following his brutal attack on Venezuela and the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. \u201cI think I stick by my first statement,\u201d Trump told reporters.<\/p>\n
