5 people are now in custody accused of attempted murder and bribery in the shootings of Tippecanoe County Judge Steven Meyer and his wife, Kimberly Meyer.<\/p>\n

An Indiana judge and his wife were shot <\/a>in their Lafayette home last Sunday.<\/p>\n

Indiana Superior Court Judge Steve Meyer was shot in the arm and his wife, Kim, was shot in the hip Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

They both survived and are in stable condition.<\/p>\n

According to the Lafayette Police Department, one of the suspects knocked on the judge\u2019s door claiming he had his dog before opening gunfire.<\/p>\n

Five people have been arrested in connection with the shooting that injured a judge and his wife at their home in Indiana last weekend, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The people taken into custody are 38-year-old Raylen Ferguson and 61-year-old Zenada Greer of Kentucky, as well as Indiana residents Thomas Moss, 43; Blake Smith, 32; and Amanda Milsap, 45, police said in a statement Thursday.<\/p>\n

The Lafayette Police Department said the arrests were made \u201cafter a coordinated, multi-state operation involving hundreds of investigative hours.\u201d <\/p>\n

Ferguson, Moss and Smith face a slew of charges including attempted murder and aggravated battery. Milsap and Greer face two charges each, including obstruction of justice.<\/p>\n

Tippecanoe Superior Court 2 Judge Steven Meyer and his wife, Kimberly Meyer, were shot at their home on Sunday. Steven Meyer suffered an injury to his arm and Kimberly Meyer sustained an injury to her hip, according to police. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI want the community to know that I have strong faith in our judicial system,\u201d Judge Meyer said in a statement<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis horrific violence will not shake my belief in the importance of peacefully resolving disputes. I remain confident we have the best judicial system in the world, and I am proud to be a part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
