Former Clinton henchman and Democrat strategist James Carville has suggested President Trump is trying to instigate a race war in America.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on MS NOW\u2019s \u201cThe Beat,\u201d Carville suggested that Trump\u2019s plan to have a midterm convention<\/p>\n

Well, let\u2019s talk about Trump at Davos and his midnight nocturnal tweets. He\u2019s a flea-bitten dog baying at the moon. OK, I apologize, kennel clubs and dog lovers.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t mean to drag the reputation of a flea-bitten dog through the mud, but it\u2019s the best metaphor I can come up with where he\u2019s just howling and howling and howling. You can\u2019t reason with him.<\/p>\n

The big news, you look at your story in Minneapolis, the Republicans are going to claim they\u2019re going to have a midterm mini convention with Trump attending. They\u2019re going to go to Minneapolis, and he\u2019s going to try to provoke a race war.<\/p>\n

Listen to me, this summer Republicans will go to Minneapolis, he\u2019s going to try to provoke a race war, is going to try to call out the 75th Ranger Regiment.<\/p>\n

As soon as I saw that, and I saw the story today, he\u2019s going to go to Minneapolis to try to provoke these people all over, and it\u2019s going to be summertime, and the weather\u2019s going to be good, and he is trying to create a race war.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think he will succeed because I don\u2019t think people will take the bait. But they\u2019d better be warned. I\u2019m very serious, put these two events together, I think they will.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

His comments come after members of the Republican National Committee voted overwhelmingly<\/a> to break precedent and host a midterm convention with the aim of rallying voters before this year\u2019s elections.<\/p>\n

The Republican National Convention is typically held only in presidential election years.<\/p>\n

Bill O\u2019Brien, the national committeeman from New Hampshire, said the vote allows them to \u201cconduct a special ceremonial convention between presidential conventions, such as a midterm convention.\u201c<\/p>\n

The convention\u2019s location has yet to be finalized, although Las Vegas is being touted as a likely venue rather than Minneapolis.<\/p>\n

President Trump first floated the idea last August, arguing that the GOP was poised to \u201cWIN BIG IN THE MIDTERMS\u201d because of the successes of his presidency.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have raised far more money than the Democrats, and are having a great time fixing all of the Country Destroying mistakes made by the Biden Administration, and watching the USA heal and prosper,\u201d Trump wrote at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe results are incredible, a record pace!!! In that light, I am thinking of recommending a National Convention to the Republican Party, just prior to the Midterms.\u201d<\/p>\n
