Radical Democrat Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut is cheering for America\u2019s enemies during active hostilities with Iran, and when called out, he pulled the classic leftist move, gaslighting, and deflection.<\/p>\n

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported,<\/a> Murphy replied with a smug one-word \u201cawesome\u201d to a Lloyd\u2019s List report claiming that at least 26 ships from Iran\u2019s notorious \u201cshadow fleet\u201d had brazenly bypassed the U.S. naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz\/Gulf of Oman area.<\/p>\n

Murphy didn\u2019t express concern for U.S. troops. He didn\u2019t worry about Iranian oil money flowing to terrorists. He didn\u2019t even pretend to support America\u2019s interests.<\/p>\n

He just typed \u201cawesome.\u201d<\/p>\n

X users immediately unloaded on the Connecticut Democrat, calling the remark \u201cliterally rooting for the enemy\u201d and \u201ctreasonous.\u201d<\/p>\n

White House officials ripped him<\/a> for gleefully regurgitating Iranian propaganda while U.S. forces are actively engaged. Even some on the left couldn\u2019t defend it.<\/p>\n

Then, when a Fox News reporter confronted him directly, Murphy doubled down on the absurdity.<\/p>\n

He complained that \u201cTwitter has become kind of a cesspool\u201d and claimed he \u201cprobably should give up on sarcasm on Twitter\u201d because \u201csarcasm is not something I guess that\u2019s allowed on Twitter any longer.\u201d<\/p>\n
