Crews of moped-riding thieves are terrorizing Mamdani\u2019s NYC.<\/p>\n

The crews, which include migrant gang members, are roaming the city streets on mopeds and violently grabbing and tearing jewelry right off the necks of victims.<\/p>\n

The Gateway Pundit reported<\/a> on one such incident. Off-duty NYPD detective Jose Mercedes was brutally attacked during one such attempt in broad daylight.<\/p>\n

While Mercedes was clearing out the trunk of his car, two men on an e-bike approached him and reached for his gold chain.<\/p>\n

Mercedes fought back and was brutally stabbed at least seven times to the neck and leg. He was taken to an area hospital and, after spending several days recovering, was released.<\/p>\n

The accused slasher was identified as 25-year-old D\u2019Angelo Caraballo, and his getaway driver was ID\u2019d as 24-year-old Sneider Mejia.<\/p>\n

Fox News\u2019s Bill Melugin reported<\/a> that the two suspects are both Dominican illegal aliens who were caught and released at the AZ border by the Biden administration. \u00a0Both have lengthy criminal histories in NYC, including an ignored ICE detainer.<\/p>\n

The New York Post reports<\/a> that the incidents number in the hundreds across the city with ties to the Dominican gang Trinitarios.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThere are hundreds of chain snatchings around the city<\/a>,\u201d said a law enforcement officer, who asked to remain anonymous because he\u2019s not cleared to talk to the news media.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of it has to do with the Trinitarios,\u201d said the officer, referring to the violent street gang<\/a> founded by Dominican inmates at Rikers Island in the early 1990s that has since grown into a crime empire plaguing the Bronx and upper Manhattan for decades.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s one of their big things, chain snatchings, and two people on a bike doing robberies.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Unfortunately, even if they are caught, the Post notes, \u201clefty judges often spring the crooks just as fast.\u201d<\/p>\n

And because Mayor Mamdani and New York Governor Kathy Hochul have made it clear they will not cooperate with ICE and put the safety of American citizens first, even if their immigration status is in question, ICE is not informed.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not allowed to confer with ICE so we just arrest them,\u201d said the cop, who also asked to remain anonymous so he wouldn\u2019t get in trouble. \u201cThey get released on their own recognizance [by a judge] and they go back and do it again.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
