{"id":6575,"date":"2022-09-29T13:51:07","date_gmt":"2022-09-29T13:51:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=6575"},"modified":"2022-09-29T13:51:07","modified_gmt":"2022-09-29T13:51:07","slug":"la-county-health-services-director-says-90-of-covid-positive-patients-were-not-hospitalized-for-covid-19-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sasquatchnewsonline.com\/?p=6575","title":{"rendered":"LA County Health Services Director Says 90% of Covid Positive Patients Were Not Hospitalized for Covid-19 (VIDEO)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, Dr. Christina Ghaly, the Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS), revealed that 90% of COVID-positive patients in four DHS hospitals were not hospitalized for COVID-19 contrary to previous reports.<\/p>\n<p>During the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=O3raRpe6_Oo\">Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Meeting<\/a>, Dr. Ghaly presented the data on the number of COVID patients in 4 DHS hospitals over the past 6 months, ending on September 22nd.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cThe study [found a] decline in the total number of inpatients who have positive COVID tests,\u201d said Dr. Ghaly.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ghaly, PCR results tend to give false positives for a couple of months.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you recall, we do test everyone on admission to the hospital for COVID. We used a PCR test, and because of that, there\u2019s a lagging positivity given that the PCR test often remains positive for a couple of months, and it will take time for the trendline to decline to the point where it again mirrors the general population,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do still periodically chart audits to look at the total [percentage] of patients who are in the hospital for their COVID illness rather than just with positive COVID test, and that number is currently at 10 percent,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Kathryn Ann Barger-Leibrich, serving as a Republican member of the LA County Board of Supervisors, asked Dr. Ghaly, \u201cwhat percentage were admitted for COVID and what percentage were admitted and then tested positive for COVID?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Ghaly responded, \u201cThis is for the four DHS hospitals where we do the manual chart reviews to look at that. 10% are admitted to the hospital for COVID, and 90% are there for incidental findings.
