Michigan State, which alone receives over $300 million each year<\/strong><\/a> from the Republican-controlled Michigan legislature<\/strong>, recently considered a resolution to sever relations with any Republican-affiliated business having business with the college with $1.5 billion in annual revenue<\/a>.<\/p>\n

COLLEGE LEFTISTS: NO REPUBLICAN CAN DO BUSINESS WITH OUR COLLEGES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Michigan State University trustees are set to\u00a0vote on a resolution<\/a>\u00a0Friday that would seemingly put vendors on notice: Support the political agenda of Democratic board members, or forget about doing business with the college.<\/em><\/p>\n

Passage will trigger an explosive feud with the Republican-controlled Legislature, which holds MSU\u2019s purse strings.<\/em><\/p>\n

The \u201cAccountability of University Vendors Funding Voter Suppression\u201d resolution, sponsored by Democratic Trustees Rema Vassar and Kelly Tebay, is specifically aimed at the Secure Mi Vote initiative, which would enact Voter ID requirements and other Republican-backed election\u00a0integrity measures.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Claiming the legislative package is intended to suppress the votes of Blacks and other minorities,\u00a0the\u00a0proposed resolution states\u00a0\u2026 \u201cit is understood that companies make political contributions<\/strong> for their own business reasons, including entities that are recipients of contracts with Michigan State University<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n

The malicious left knows that corporations don\u2019t donate to campaigns, but their owners and directors do, and that\u2019s what this is aimed at: forcing businesses to demand their employees stop making political donations otherwise they might lose valuable contracts with the state college.<\/p>\n

In response, the Michigan legislature this week approved $750 million in new one-time state gifts for renovations and new buildings.<\/p>\n

ELECTED MICHIGAN REPUBLICANS: LET\u2019S SHOWER LEFTIST COLLEGES WHO HATE US AND WANT US DEAD WITH MORE MONEY<\/strong><\/p>\n

The funds come from the Joint Capitol Outlay committee which has members from both the Michigan House<\/a> and Senate<\/a>. The House members are 4-2 Republican to Democrat. The Senate members are 6-3 Republican to Democrat. This only passed because Republicans voted for more money to colleges who are making it plain how they feel about all Republicans: bankrupt them and their allies.<\/p>\n\n

Republican Senators<\/a> who voted FOR more money to left-wing colleges: Sen. Ken Horn, Sen. Kim LaSata, Sen. Dale Zorn, Sen. Wayne Schmidt, Sen. Michael MacDonald.<\/p>\n

Republican Representatives<\/a> who voted FOR more money to left-wing colleges: Rep. Mary Whiteford, Rep. Scott VanSingel, Rep. Greg VanWoerkom.<\/p>\n

STATE REPUBLICANS THROWING MONEY AT COLLEGES WHO HATE REPUBLICANS \u2014 HOW AWFUL<\/strong><\/p>\n

These campus expansions keep happening even though the college enrollment across the state keeps declining<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Colleges have a strong incentive to keep people enrolled, however, because the debt is guaranteed by the federal government and many of the students are basically paid to be part-time students.<\/p>\n

One Republican activist in Detroit explains the local college and community college scam: \u201cIf you\u2019re poor, you get to go to college for free, there are so many programs to pay expenses, room and board, and food. If you know the right programs, you get paid to go to college.<\/strong> This system encourages all these people to scam the system and be perpetual students and there\u2019s no pressure from colleges to stop them. Meanwhile, working-class people pay too much for tuition and taxpayers get screwed.\u201d<\/p>\n
