On Wednesday Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt<\/strong>, along with\u00a0Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry,<\/strong>\u00a0deposed Anthony Fauci (head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases [NIAID]) at the National Institutes for Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland.<\/p>\n

The Gateway Pundit previously reported in May that the Missouri and Louisiana Attorneys General\u00a0filed a lawsuit<\/a>\u00a0(Missouri v. Biden<\/em>) against the Biden Administration, including Joe Biden himself, Anthony Fauci, the Department of Homeland Security and nearly a dozen federal agencies and Secretaries.<\/p>\n

Fauci was deposed on Wednesday.\u00a0 And The Gateway Pundit\u2019s Jim Hoft and attorney John Burns were present at the deposition and witnessed the questioning for seven hours.<\/p>\n

During questioning, Dr. Fauci admitted that he got the idea for the unprecedented economic lockdowns in America based on the draconian measures taken by the Communist Chinese regime.<\/p>\n

Fauci sent his longtime co-hort Clifford Lane to China in February to assess the situation. Lane was enthralled with the Chinese measures and pushed the idea on Dr. Fauci.<\/p>\n

Of course, Fauci did not question the information despite Communist China\u2019s history of falsified information. <\/p>\n

From the deposition:<\/p>\n

John Sauer, \u201cAnd Mr. Lane, after returning from the trip, said the Chinese were managing this in a very structured, organized way; correct?\u2026 Did you discuss Mr. Lane\u2019s experience on the trip with him when he got back from the WHO trip?\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr. Fauci, \u201d The answer is I did\u2026 Dr. Lane was very impressed about how from a clinical public health standpoint, the Chinese were handling the isolation, the contact tracing, the building of facilities to take care of people, and that\u2019s what I believed he meant when he said were managing this in a very structured organized way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sauer: \u201cSo he drew the conclusion that there might have to be extreme, in his word, measures to mandate social distancing to bring the outbreak under control; correct?\u201d<\/p>\n

Fauci: \u201cThat\u2019s what this is implying, yes\u2026 He did discuss with me that the Chinese 19 had a very organized way of trying to contain the spread in Wuhan and elsewhere. He didn\u2019t get a chance to go to Wuhan, but he was in Beijing, and I believe other cities \u2014 at least Beijing \u2014 and he mentioned that they had a very organized well regimented way of handling the outbreak.<\/p>\n

Sauer: \u201cAnd so he had a kind of positive reaction to that. There might be lessons to be learned for the United States in its response to the outbreak?\u201d<\/p>\n

Fauci: \u201cI believe Dr. Lane came to the conclusion that when you have a widespread respiratory disease that a very common and effective way to curtail the rapid spread of the disease is by implementing social distancing measures\u2026 Dr. Lane is a very astute clinician, and I have every reason to believe that his evaluation of the situation was accurate and correct.\u201d <\/p>\n

Dr. Aaron Kheriaty, MD, a plaintiff in the case, posted a long thread on Twitter on this Fauci admission.<\/p>\n

2\/ The CCP had announced China had contained the virus through draconian lockdowns\u2013a claim now known to be false. Given the China’s pattern of falsified information, Lane and Fauci should have approached this claim with skepticism. Lockdowns were wholly untested & unprecedented.<\/p>\n
