FBI Director Kash Patel delivered an excellent performance during his testimony on Capitol Hill today, highlighted by a smackdown of a congresswoman from Pennsylvania when she tried to get him to open a witch-hunt into the Trump Administration over the signal text thread and military plans against the Houthis that leaked. This week.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Jeffrey Goldberg, the leftist anti-Trump editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, claimed without evidence that he was “accidentally” added to a secure Signal group chat by National Security Adviser Mike Waltz where top Trump administration officials discussed sensitive military operations against Iran-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen and called them “war plans.”
But instead of simply excusing himself from the conversation, Goldberg did what deep-state, Trump-hating reporters do best: he took screenshots of the conversation and ran to his keyboard to try to leak the military operation.
Team Trump angrily fired back and called Goldberg a liar, saying no war plans were discussed. Now, Goldberg and his co-worker Shane Harris have published details of the military plans against the Houthis to call Team Trump’s bluff and humiliate Trump.
But their efforts backfired by inadvertently making a damning admission proving Team Trump right. Goldberg previously called these leaks “war plans” to ensure maximum media coverage before now calling them “attack plans.”
During a House hearing with intelligence leaders on Wednesday, Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) behaved like an irresponsible propagandist and demanded that Patel investigate the leak. Of course, we all know she aimed to pit him against President Trump.
“Now that another day has passed, do you think it’s time for the FBI to open an investigation (into the leak)?” Houlahan asked Patel.
“I’m not going to comment on that,” Patel replied.
“Because you’re the director of the FBI, you don’t believe it’s appropriate to comment on that?” a confused Houlahan said in response.
Patel then attempted to educate the ignorant Democrat on how the law and investigations work.
“Because there’s a process in place. There’s ongoing litigation, and The National Security Council is reviewing this matter,” Patel explained. “And I’m not going to discuss any open or closed investigations.”
“That ongoing investigation…The lawsuit literally happened today or yesterday afternoon,” Houlahan whined. “And the idea that you don’t have an opinion on this at this point is frustrating to me.”
At that moment, Patel became fed up with her complaining and delivered an epic reply to shut her down.
“No, it’s not. I’m not going to prejudge any matter, and the men and women of the FBI will call the balls and strikes. Not you,” Patel fired back.

Houlahan then tried to reclaim her time, but thanks to Patel’s expert handling of her ridiculous line of interrogations, she had none remaining.
