Woman Shoots Two Lawyers Representing Police Department Outside North Carolina Courthouse – Suspect in Custody for Attempted First-Degree Murder (VIDEO)

A woman has been taken into custody on attempted murder charges after two attorneys were shot outside the old Wake County courthouse in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Friday.
Gwendolyn White, 57, faces attempted first-degree murder charges after she opened fire Mary Harris and Jeffrey Whitley of national law firm Fox Rothschild.
The attorneys were representing the Rolesville Police Department, involving officer-worn body camera video, which White says is linked to the death of her mother, WRAL reports.
WRAL reports that White is the plaintiff in the case.
Raleigh Police Chief Rico Boyce told reporters that White became disruptive during the hearing before leaving and coming back to kill the attorneys.
“The suspect got out of the vehicle, approached the two victims, [and] shot both victims” in broad daylight, he said.
Video from the scene shows White being hauled away in cuffs following the crime.

The two attorneys were reportedly recovering from the incident in stable condition on Friday evening.
The law firm, Fox Rothschild, said in a statement, “We cannot adequately express our deep sadness and concern. The safety and well-being of our people is our highest priority.”
The Town of Rolesville said, “We are saddened to learn that two attorneys representing the Town of Rolesville in a civil matter were shot outside the Wake County Courthouse this morning. Fox Rothschild has represented the Town of Rolesville for decades, and while they are not employees of the Town, this incident is deeply disturbing.”
One bystander inside the courthouse said she heard yelling before “multiple shots” led sheriff’s deputies to respond and place the building on lockdown.
Another defense attorney, Lee Turner, expressed concern that “Now, when you hear those threats, or you see someone arguing out in the lobby with their lawyer, which that does happen a lot, you’ve got to wonder, are they going to run out to their car and wait for that lawyer to walk out of the courthouse?”
