A lifelong Democrat who served on President Bill Clinton’s National Security Council and in the State Department under Madeleine Albright is issuing a stark warning that every American needs to hear.
Jamie Metzl, a human rights and civil rights advocate with deep roots in the Democrat Party establishment, took to X on Saturday and declared that the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) represent a clear and present danger, not just to his party, but to America.
According to Metzl, this is a highly coordinated, dangerous strategy by a small group of radical extremists who are actively working to hijack the Democrat Party, crash our economy, and completely dismantle our American system of government.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Gustavo Gordillo went on national television and openly defended the DSA’s radical platform while demonstrating a shocking ignorance of basic American government.
He called the United States Senate an “undemocratic institution” because it gives equal representation to smaller states and large ones, revealing he does not even understand the fundamental difference between the Senate and the House of Representatives.
The DSA’s official “Workers Deserve More” platform, which The Gateway Pundit has extensively documented, calls for:
- Eliminate the U.S. Senate.
- Replace the President with an executive chosen by Congress.
- Replace the Supreme Court with a judiciary subordinate to Congress.
- Grant universal amnesty to all illegal aliens.
- Defund the Department of Defense (which the platform refers to as the “Department of War”).
- Close overseas U.S. military bases.
- End American economic sanctions against foreign adversaries.
- Abolish what it calls the “carceral forces of the capitalist state,” including sweeping police and prison reforms.
If implemented, these proposals would fundamentally transform the American system of government by eliminating the constitutional separation of powers established by the Founding Fathers.
The DSA has become increasingly influential inside Democrat politics, with many of its members and allies winning elected office at the local, state, and federal levels.
